Winter is my favourite season and since the day's are cool and the nights chilly, I've been keeping my eye out for lovely, bright, warm woollen blankets to pile on our bed's. These blankets are from a recent haul. I absolutely love the hot pink and olive green one! If I can uncover some more, I'm considering making some big, fat floor cushions to roll about in. Ugg boot's, a cup of obligatory tea and a trashy novel, I hear you calling!
Wonderful photo and I love your blankets, so snug and pretty!
ReplyDeleteYour blankets are gorgeous, and the discription of snugly relaxing sounds perfect! Love the new look btw, those towels get me everytime :)
ReplyDeleteBig fat floor cushions...what a FABULOUS idea! I love it.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ladies!
ReplyDeleteAllana, I thought I better brighten the ol' blog n' chain up a bit for winter, she was lookin a little dowdy ;)
I've been working on an illustration for months but never seem to find the time, you know how it is, blah blah blah.........
I have a soft spot for these old woolen blankets too. I inherited a few from my folks and keep seeing them in op shops. Mostly single size. I've been thinking of adding a crocheted edge of some sort and using them as throws.
ReplyDeleteI've really got to learn how to crochet, I feel like I'm missing out on a whole world of possibilities! I should take some time to do Pip's tutorials perhaps.
ReplyDeleteOooh, I must go and add that. $4.
ReplyDeleteI taught myself to do granny squares using the instructions in Pip's book and I'm working up the courage to start a balnket for my daughter. It's really not that hard once you get the hang of it. Love the new header too!
ReplyDeleteI can teach you. Maybe we could have a workshop one day?
