my creative space

I don't have a lot of available mental space for writing this week. Freddy is cutting four teeth at once, bringing the sum total to TWELVE (that's a lot of teeth for a one year old) and sleep is being taken in short hour and a half bursts (torture).  Beside catching up on a mountain of folding (worst job in the world) I have managed to sit down and start making some Christmas gifts. These are miniature rag rugs in the making. I'm thinking they will make fabulous coasters, but they also might look good as a crafty tree decoration, no? They really are quick and simple to make and they use up lot's of sewing room scraps so they're a bit of a favourite in my house at the moment.

When I get my mojo back I'll write up a quick tutorial........this would be good, yes?

For more creative spaces pop over to Kootoyoo for a squiz.

  1. Beautiful, I love them. Tutorial would be good when you are able.
I hope little Freddy settles soon, it's so tiring when they are teething.
Hope you have a better day,
    Anne xx

  2. they would be great as multi function ornament / coasters - the hanging tabs could be good for storing the coasters when not in use!

  8. Poor Freddie! Teeth ... are terrible. Martha has been a right pain in the neck this last week and then I spied a fourth front bottom tooth raising its ugly head. I forget how painful they must be ... and how patient I must be. Four at once must be excruciating and draining.

Tutorial, yes! I'm imagining a rug! Is that stupidity? It can wait until after Bonjella time.

  9. Love the bright & happy colours.
My little Huckle is dealing with his first few teeth. Poor little dears. I hope Freddy's settle soon. Teething is definitely frustrating for Mamas too. Hold tight.

  14. Wow, I love these. I agree, they'd look great on the tree or equally great under a lovely cup of tea. You'll get lots of sympathy from me over the teeth, we've had exactly the same situation at our house with our one year old. It just sucks when they get so many teeth at once, especially those molars!
