Sophie from Her Library Adventures is hosting Flea Market Finds of THE YEAR! today, whoohoo! I love an opportunity to brag and since I'm nursing a mean Szechuan hangover from a night out full of good folks, good food and some awesome live music, I thought I would just show you a bunch of photos of my favourites so far.
The first half of the year provided a bumper flea market harvest but recent weeks are proving less than satisfying. I haven't had a truly brilliant score for a while and I'm suffering what might be described as 'crap withdrawals'. I took Ada out for lunch today and we hit two different markets and I didn't see a single thing that I wanted. This melancholic behaviour is not like me at all, could it be that I am becoming more....dare I say it......'discerning'? Probably not.
Don't forget to enter my BLOGTOBER GIVEAWAY, last chance as I will be drawing that sucker tomorrow!
isnt' it horrible when you just don't find anything for ages ... i refuse to buy things if i don't want/need but at the same time it's horrible going through and finding nothing. still, you have to love the bonanza that will come soon, and I bet it'll be brilliant.

I just love that umbrella! Hope you're feeling a bit better now :)
ReplyDeleteThese are fantastic. My younger sister would just loove that ghetto blaster. I'm loving the umbrella - perfect - and perfectly suited to all the rain we've had this year!
ReplyDeleteThrifting is like that - feast or famine I find! Hope something glorious turns up real soon!
ReplyDeleteBeach umbrella looks wonderful! Beautiful color and pattern!
ReplyDeleteThat Ghettoblaster's saying,
ReplyDelete"Take me on the bus, throw me on your shoulder and to hell if it's peak hour!"
I'm feeling your pain and still loving your beach umbrella. I am sure I have just the right green beach chairs for it!
ReplyDeleteMMMC, What was that TERRIBLE rap song from the 80's? "Don't push me cos I'm close to the edge....I'm tryin' not to loose my head, ahuh huh huh"
ReplyDeletelove the brollie, perfect and those nanna blankies are just divine!
ReplyDeletesome fabulous finds..LOVE the wicker chair!!
ReplyDeletethe ghetto blaster & umbrella is just way too cool!
ReplyDeleteI have the exact same chair! At the time I bought it, there were two in the shop, but somebody else had bought the other. Now why, oh why, would you just buy one of these beauties if there are two there? It was lucky for me, I got a chair out of it, but everytime I lookat my chair, I ponder.
ReplyDeleteOo, those blankets will come in handy this winter. They don't make them like that anymore!
ReplyDeleteYou have the best finds ... the ghetto blaster - brilliant. The umbrella - gorgeous. The blankets - remind me of my nanna's. Wish I went to markets with you ....
